Moustache Of Insanity

Moustache Of Insanity are Nik (keyboards and giggles) and Bill (guitar and moustache). We first came across them supporting one of Bill’s various other bands (probably Allo Darlin’ or with Darren Hayman’s Secondary Modern) and were immediately blown away with their infectious and outrageously fun take on indiepop. Fiendishly simple songs about sending postcards to strangers over the internet, books and the soon-to-be swedish punk classic Kaktus is all it takes to take us to a place with no worries, a world where we can just spend all our time with friends dancing and singing along to pop. We love them.

Moustache of Insanity består av två personer; Nik (synt och fnitter) och Bill (gitarr och mustasch). Vi sprang på dem när de spelade förband till något av Bills andra band (förmodligen Allo Darlin eller Darren Hayman’s Secondary Modern), och kunde inte undvika att bli fullständigt tagna och naturligtvis förfärligt förtjusta! De är ett av de få band jag gillar som har förmågan att skriva roliga låtar och komma undan med det. Det är enkla men i det närmaste geniala texter om att skicka vykort till främlingar och böcker man önskar sig över Casiodoftande punkpopsriff och små guldkantade popmelodier.
Se dem live och ni kanske får höra den numera kultförklarade fritidsgårdsklassikern ”Kaktus”. Med textrader som ”fan vad jag hatar kaktusar, åeå” är det omöjligt att misslyckas!
